Here,

The volume of a cube = 8000 cm³.

We know that ,

volume of a cube = l³. { l = one side of a cube }

=> 8000 = l³

=> 20³ = l³

=> 20 = l

=> l = 20 cm.

so the length of the cube = 20 cm.

If the edge is doubled then , l¹= 2 × 20 cm. = 40cm.

So, the new volume = (l¹ )³

= 40³

= 64000 cm³.

Hope this help you dear . ✓✓

Answer:

The new volume is 64000 cm³.

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution:

Volume = 8000 cm³

Edge = Gets doubled

Find the edge of the original cube =

  • Consider it y

Volume of cube = \sf{cube}^{3}

⇒ 8000 = y³

⇒ y = \sf{\sqrt[3]{8000}}

⇒ y = 20

Orignal Edge of cube = 20 cm

According to the Question,

The edge is doubled.

⇒ 20 × 2

⇒ 40 cm

_______________________________

Volume of the doubled edge cube =

⇒ (40)³

⇒ 64000 cm³

Volume = 64000 cm³

Therefore, the new volume is 64000 cm³.
