Edge of the cube

The volume of the cube corresponds to the space held within it. The cube has all faces in square structure, all the faces have equal dimensions. The edges opposite to each other are parallel.

We know that, the volume of cube is equal to the product of three times of the edges of the cube.

In mathematical term the volume of cube will be,

\implies Volume_{(cube)} = a^3

Here a is the edge of cube. And here in this question we have, Volume = 1331cm³. So by using the volume of cube formula we can get our edge value.

Let us assume that, the edges of the cube be a \; cm.

By using the required formula and substituting the value of edge in it, we get:

\implies 1331 = a^3 \\ \\ \implies  \sqrt[3]{1331}  = a \\ \\ \implies \boxed{11 = a}

Therefore, the edge of cube is 11cm. So, option (b) is the correct option for this question.

Given :-

Volume of cube = 1331 cm

To Find :-

Edge

Solution :-

We know that

Volume of cube = a × a × a

1331 = a³

∛1331 = a

By prime factorising

11 | 1331

11 | 121

11 | 11

11 = a

Therefore,

Option B is correct
