Volume of cube=a^3
                  216= a^3
                      a=6
So the longest rod that can be placed inside the cube can be of the length 6m.

The length of the longest rod that can be placed in the box is 6meter.

GIVEN

The volume of a cubical box is 216 m³

TO FIND

The length of the longest rod that can be placed in the box.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

Side of the cubical box = Length of the longest rod that can be placed in the box.

Let the side of the cubical box = x meters

We know that,

Volume of the cube = Side × side × Side

Therefore,

216 = x³

x = ³√216 = 6 meter

Therefore,

The length of the longest rod that can be placed in the box is 6meter.
