Answer:

volume of cuboid =l×b×h=448cm

3

=l×b×7=448cm

3

=l×b=64cm

2

but base is square

∴l=b

∴l

2

=64cm

2

⇒l=b=8cm

surface area =2(lb+lh+bh)

=2(8×8+8×7+8×7)

=2(64+56+56)

=352cm

Given

» Volume of the cuboid = 840 cm³

» Length of the cuboid = 14 cm

» Breadth of the cuboid = 5 cm

To find

» Height of the cuboid = ?

Formula Used

  \bf\longrightarrow \: volume \: of \: cuboid =  \: length \times breadth \times  height \:

Solution

Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height cub.units

Height of cuboid = volume / ( length × breadth )

By substituting the given values in the above formula :-

height =  \dfrac{840}{14 \times 5}

 \therefore\:height\: of\: cuboid \:=  \frac{840}{70} = \bf12 cm
