Given

Volume of a cylinder is 1100cm³

base diameter of cylinder is 10cm

To Find

We have to find the height of Cylinder

Formula for finding volume :

Volume of cylinder=πr²h

we have given diameter of cylinder so,we have to find the radius first.

We know that diameter is twice of radius or Radius is half of Diameter.

So,Radius will be = D/2 = 10/2=5cm

Hence,radius is 5cm

Now,put r's value into formula

Volume of cylinder=22/7×(5)²×h

=>22/7×25×h=1100

=>h= 1100×7/22×25

=>h= 7700/22×25

=>h= 308/22

=>h=14

Hence,height of the cylinder is 14cm.

Extra information=>

  • curved surface area of Cyclinder=2πrh
  • Total surface area of Cyclinder=2πr(r+h)
