CORRECT QUESTION :-

★ The volume of a cylinder is 154 cm³ and its height is 2 cm.Find its radius.

GIVEN :-

  • volume of a cylinder is 154 cm³.
  • Height of cylinder is 2 cm.

TO FIND :-

  • The radius of the cylinder.

SOLUTION :-

★ For finding the radius of the cylinder we have to apply the formula for volume of cylinder i.e volume = πr²h.

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

→ 154 = πr²h

→ 154 = 22/7 × r² × 2

→ (154 × 7)/22 = r² × 2

→ 7 × 7 = r² × 2

→ 49 = r² × 2

→ 49/2 = r²

→ r² = 24.5

→ r = √24.5

r 4.94

Hence the radius of the cylinder when its volume is 154 cm³ and its height is 2 cm is 4.94 cm .

☯️QUESTION☯️

The volume of a cylinder is 154 cm³ and its height is 2 cm. Find its radius

☯️ANSWER☯️

GIVEN

  • Volume of cylinder = 154 cm³
  • Height of cylinder = 2 cm

TO FIND

  • Radius of cylinder = ?

FORMULA USED

  • Volume of cylinder = π××h

SOLUTION

Here, Let radius of cylinder be r cm

we know that,

Volume of cylinder = π×r²×h

where,

  • height h = 2 cm
  • Volume of cylinder = 154 cm³
  • π = \sf\frac{22}{7}

So,

Volume of cylinder = π×r²×h

 \sf➲154 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {(r)}^{2}  \times 2

 \sf➲154 =  \frac{44}{7}  \times  {r}^{2}

 \sf➲  \frac{154 \times 7}{44} =  {r}^{2}

 \sf➲  \frac{1078}{44} =  {r}^{2}

 \sf➲  24.5 =  {r}^{2}

 \sf➲  r =  \sqrt{24.5}

 \sf➲  r =  4.9497(approx.)

 \sf➲  r =  4.9cm

Hence, radius of cylinder is 4.9cm
