Given :-

  • Volume of cylinder = 300m³ .

To find :-

  • Volume of cone having the same radius and same height as that of cylinder .

Solution :-

Let us assume that,

  • Radius of cylinder = Radius of cone = R m .
  • Height of cylinder = Height of cone = H m .

so,

→ Volume of cylinder = π * (radius)² * height

→ Volume of cylinder = π * (R)² * H = πR²H m³ .

given that,

  • πR²H = 300m³

then,

→ Volume of cone = (1/3) * π * (radius)² * h

→ Volume of cone = (1/3) * π * (R)² * H

→ Volume of cone = (1/3) * (πR²H)

→ Volume of cone = (1/3) * 300

→ Volume of cone = 100 m³. (Ans.)
