The volume of a cylinder is 308 cm*3 it's height is 8 cm. find its lateral surface area and total surface area.

Here is the answer!!!! -----

h=8cm
Volume of cylinder=308 cm^3
πr^2h=308 cm^3
22/7xr^2x8=308
r^2=308x7/22x1/8
r^2=12.25
r=√12.25
r=3.5 cm

L.S.A of cylinder=2πrh
=2x22/7x3.5x8
=176 cm^2

T.S.A of cylinder=2πr(r+h)
=2x22/7x3.5(3.5+8)
=22(11.5)
=253 cm^2

Volume= 308 cm^3 (given)
π*r^2*h= 308
22/7*r^2*8= 308
r^2= 308*7/22*8
r^2= 49/2
r= 7/√2 cm

LSA= 2*π*r*h
= 2*22/7*7/√2*8
= 2*11*16/√2
= 352/√2
= 176√2 cm^2
