Let r be the radius of cylinder.
Height of cylinder, h = 8cm
Volume of cylinder = πr^2h
But the volume is given, i.e 72π cm^3
=> 72π = πr^2h
=> 72π = πr^2 x 8
=> 72/8 = r^2
=> 9cm = r^2
=> 3cm = r
Now, surface area of cylinder,
=> 2πr(r + h) cm^2
=> 2x 22/7 x 3 (3 + 8) cm^2
=> 2x 22/7 x 3 x 11 cm^2
=> 44/7 x 33 cm^2
=> 1452/7 cm^2
=> 207.42 cm^2 (approx.)
