Answer:

Explanation:

Given :

  • Volume of cylinder = 88 cm³
  • height (h) = 63 cm

To Find :

  • CSA and TSA of cylinder.

Solution :

We know,

Volume of cylinder = πh

=> 88 = 22/7 × r² × 63

=> 88 = 22 × r² × 9

=> 88 = 198 × r²

=> r² = 88/198

=> r² = 0.4

=> r = 0.6324 cm

We need to find CSA and TSA of cylinder so;

CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

=> CSA = 2 × 22/7 × 0.6324 × 63

=> CSA = 2 × 22 × 0.6324 × 9

=> CSA = 44 × 5.6916

=> CSA = 250.4304 cm²

Now,

TSA of cylinder = 2πr(r + h)

=> TSA = 2 × 22 × 0.6324(0.6324 + 63)

=> TSA = 27.8256(63.6324)

=> TSA = 1770.6097094 cm²

Hence :

CSA and TSA of cylinder is 250.4304 cm² and 1770.6097094 cm² respectively.
