the volume of a cylinder is 88 cm cube and its side is 63 cm find the curved surface area and the total surface area of the cylinder ​

curved surface area = 264 cm² and total surface area = 266.8 cm²

given, volume of cylinder = 88 cm³

side length of cylinder , l = 63 cm

we have to find the curved surface area and total surface area.

volume of cylinder = πr²l

⇒ 88 cm³ = πr²(63 cm)

⇒88 = 22/7 × r² × 63

⇒4 = 9r²

⇒r = 2/3

now, curved surface area = 2πrl

= 2 × 22/7 × 2/3 × 63

= 88 × 3

= 264 cm²

total surface area = 2πr² + 2πrl

= 2 × 22/7 × (2/3)² + 264 cm²

= 44/7 × 4/9 + 264 cm²

= 176/63 + 264 cm²

= 2.8 + 264 cm²

= 266.8 cm²
