The volume of a cylindrical bucket is 660cm3 and its height is 11cm.

Find out the area of the base of the bucket.

Explanation:

Method 1 :-

volume = Area of base × height

660= 11× area

660/11= area

60cm^2= area of base

Method 2:-

Volume of cylinder = πr^2h

660= πr^2 × 11

660/11= π r^ 2

60= πr^2= 22/7r^2

60×7/22= r^2

√420/22 = r= 4.37cm

Area = πr^2 = π × 420/22

area = (22×420)/(7×22)

= 60cm ^2
