Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

  • The volume of cylinder = 3.08litre

  • Area of the base = 154cm²

To Find:-

  • The curved surface area of the cylinder.

Solution:-

Area of its base = 154cm²

→ πr² = 154

→ r² = 154 × 7/22

→ r² = 7 × 7

→ r² = 7²

→ r = 7cm

∴ Radius of the cylinder = 7cm

Volume of cylinder = 3.08litres = 3080cm³

→ πr²h = 3080

→ π (7)² × h = 3080

→ 49 × 22/7 × h = 3080

→ 7 × 22 × h = 3080

→ 154 × h = 3080

→ h = 3080/154 = 20cm

∴ Height of the cylinder = 20cm

Now, let us find the Curved surface area (CSA) of cylinder

CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

→ CSA = 2 × (22/7) × 7 × 20

→ CSA = 2 × 22 × 20

→ CSA = 880cm²

Curved surface area of the cylinder = 880cm²
