Answer:

  • 19.2 L of water is left in the tank.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

  • The volume of a cylindrical tank is 32 L.
  • Its 4/5th part is filled with water.

To Find:

  • How much water is left in the tank, if 1/4th of the water filled in it is poured into a bucket.

Finding the volume of water in the tank:

⟿ Volume = 4/5 × 32

⟿ Volume = (4 × 32)/5

⟿ Volume = 128/5

⟿ Volume = 25.6

∴ Volume of water in the tank = 25.6 L

Finding the water left in the tank:

⟿ Water left = 25.6 - 1/4 × 25.6

⟿ Water left = 25.6 - 25.6/4

⟿ Water left = 25.6 - 6.4

⟿ Water left = 19.2

∴ Water left in the tank = 19.2 L

Question:-

  • The volume of a cylindrical tank is 32L, Its 4/5th part is filled with water. How much water is left in the tank, if 1/4th of the water filled in it is poured into a bucket.

To Find:-

  • Find how much water is left in tank.

Solution:-

Given ,

  • The volume of cylindrical tank is 32 l.

  • Its 4/5th part of filled with water.

First ,

We have to find the volume of water in tank:-

\sf\longrightarrow \: Volume \: of \: tank = \dfrac { 4 } { 5 } \times 32

\sf\longrightarrow \: Volume \: of \: tank = 4 \times 6.4

\sf\longrightarrow \: Volume \: of \: tank = 25.6

Now ,

We have to find the water left in tank:-

\sf\longrightarrow \: Water \: left \: in \: tank = 25.6 - \dfrac { 1 } { 4 } \times 25.6

\sf\longrightarrow \: Water \: left \: in \: tank = 25.6 - 6.4

\sf\longrightarrow \: Water \: left \: in \: tank =19.2

Hence ,

  • Water left in tank is 19.2 l
