  • Given that volume of a plastic sealed box V = 250 cm³
  • Given that mass of the plastic sealed box M = 500 g.

We know that Density d = M/V

= 500/250

= 2 g/cm³

We know that density of water = 1 g/cm³

Therefore, Density of sealed box is greater than density of water.

★ Hence, it will sink in water.

Now,

Mass of the water displaced by the box = volume * density of water

= 250 * 1

= 250 g.
