Answer: (x + 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of Rectangular Solid = 2x^3 + 7x^2 + 2x - 3

Volume of Rectangle = l × b × h

Length, l = 2x - 1

Breadth, b = x + 3

height, h = ? (to find)

therefore,

(2x - 1)(x + 3)(h) = 2x^3 + 7x^2 + 2x - 3

(2x^2 + 6x - x - 3)h = 2x^3 + 7x^2 + 2x - 3

h = (2x^3 + 7x^2 + 2x - 3)/(2x^2 + 5x - 3)

From here, please perform long division for polynomials

you should get

x + 1

therefore, h = x + 1
