Correct Question :

  • The volume of a solid hemisphere is 1152 π cubic cm. Find its curved surface area

Answer :

  • Curved surface area of hemisphere is 905.14 cm² or 288 π cm²

To find :

  • Curved surface area

Solution :

First we need to find the radius then we get answer of curved surface area of hemisphere

Given

  • Volume of a solid hemisphere is 1152 π cubic cm.

As we know that,

  • Volume of solid hemisphere = 2/3 πr³

》Volume of solid hemisphere = 2/3 πr³

》1152 π = 2/3πr³

》r³ = 1152 × 3 / 2

》r³ = 576 × 3

》 r³ = 1728

》r = √1728

》r = 12cm

Now we have to find the curved surface area :

As we know that,

  • Curved surface area of hemisphere = 2πr²

Where , r is radius

》Curved surface area of hemisphere = 2πr²

》2 × 22/7 × (12)²

》2 × 22/7 × 12 × 12

》6336/7

》905.14 cm² or 288 π cm²

Hence, Curved surface area of hemisphere is 905.14 cm² or 288 π cm²
