Answer :

  • Curved surface area of solid hemisphere is 288cm²

Given :

  • The volume of solid hemisphere is 1152π

To find :

  • Curved surface area

Solution:

Given that, the volume of solid hemisphere and we have to find radius and also curved surface area

  • volume of solid hemisphere is 1152π³

As we know that :

  • Volume of solid hemisphere = 2/3 πr³

Then,

⟾ Volume of solid hemisphere = 2/3 πr³

⟾ 1152π = 2/3 πr³

Remove π

⟾ 1152 × 3 / 2 = r³

⟾ 576 × 3 = r³

⟾ 1728 = r³

⟾ r³= 1728

⟾ r = ²√12 × 12 × 12

⟾ r = 12 cm

Hence radius is 12 cm

Now we have to find curved surface area

As we know that :

  • Curved surface area of solid hemisphere = 2πr²

⟾ CSA = 2πr²

⟾ CSA = 2 × 22/7 × 12 × 12

⟾ CSA = 2 × 12 × 12π

⟾ CSA = 288 cm²

Hence, curved surface area of solid hemisphere is 288cm²
