Given-

Mass of helium gas = 4 gram

Temperature at which we have to fill = 22⁰ C

Pressure at which we have to fill = 720 mm of Hg

By using ideal gas equation,

PV = nRT where P is the pressure, V is the volume, n is the number of moles, R is the universal gas constant and T is the temperature.

PV = w/Mw RT , where w is weight of the gas and Mw is the molecular weight

PV = w / Mw RT

⇒ 720 / 760 × V = 4/4 × 0.0821 × 295

⇒ V = 25.565 litre

Hence volume required is 25.565 L
