Hi ,

Let the side of the cube = a m

diagonal of the cube = √3 × a

d = √3 × a ---( 1 )

d = 3.6 m [ given ]---( 2 )

( 1 ) = ( 2 )

√3 × a = 3.6

a = 3.6/√3

Volume of the cube = a³

V = ( 3.6/√3 ) 1

= ( 3.6 × 3.6 × 3.6 ) / ( √3 × √3 × √3 )

= 46.656/ 3√3

= 15.552/√3

= ( 15.552 × √3 ) / ( √3 × √3 )

= ( 15.552 × √3 ) / 3

= 5.184 × 1.732

[ Since √3 = 1.732 ]

V ≈ 8.9786 m³

I hope this helps you.
