Volume=lenght*breadth*height
Let the breadth be b
Given, l=8cm h=5cm and V=240cm^3
Therefore 240=8*5*b
240=40*b
B=240/40
B=6

Thank you

Answer :

➥ The breadth of a cuboid = 6 cm

Given :

➤ Volume of a cuboid = 240 cm³

➤ Length of a cuboid (l) = 8 cm

➤ Height of a cuboid (b) = 5 cm

To Find :

➤ Breadth of a cuboid (b) = ?

Solution :

Let ,

The breadth of cuboid be "l"

As we know that

 \tt{ : \implies Volume \: of \: cuboid = l \times b \times h}

\tt{ : \implies 240 = 8 \times 5 \times b}

\tt{ : \implies 240 = 40 \times b}

\tt{ : \implies 240 = 40b}

\tt{ : \implies  \dfrac{24 \cancel{0}}{4 \cancel{0}} = b }

\tt{ : \implies \cancel{\dfrac{24}{4}} = b }

\bf{ : \implies \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \purple{ \:  \: b = 6 \: cm \:  \: }} \:  \: }}

Hence, the breadth of a cuboid is 6 cm.

Some releted formulae :

⪼ Total Surface area of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh)

⪼ Lateral surface area of cuboid = 2h(l + b)

⪼ Diagonal of cuboid = √( l² + b² +h²)

⪼ Perimeter of cuboid = 4(l + b + h)

Where,

  • l is the length of cuboid
  • b is the breadth of cuboid
  • h is the height of cuboid
