volume of a cylinder=1/3(pi*r^2*h)

curved surface of a cylinder=2*pi*r*h

given both are equal so:

1/3(pi*r^2*h)=2*pi*r*h

after cancelling out equal terms, we will get

r=6cm

therefore diameter=2*r=12cm
