The volume of cylinder is308cm³ . Its height is 8cm Find its lateral surface area and

Given , dimensions of cylinder, h = 8 cm.

volume of cylinder = 308 cm

volume of cylinder =
\pi{r}^{2} h
= 22/7 × r^2 × 8

308 = 22/7 × r^2 × 8

308 = 25.14 × r^2

r^h = 308/25.14

r^2= 12.24

r =  \sqrt{12.24}
r= 3.48

LSA of cylinder =
2\pi \: r \: h
= 2 × 22/7 × 3.48 × 8

= 16 × 22/7 × 3.48

= 50.28 × 3.48

= 174.99 cm^2


TSA of cylinder =
\pi \: r \: \times (r + h)
= 22/7 × ( 3.48 + 8)

= 22/7 × ( 11.48)

= 36.08cm^2....
