The volume of glomerular filtrate is 18 l but the volume of urine excreted is 1 to 2l. This is due to the reason because after glomerulus,filter ate passes through Henle's loop where from 18l of filterate there are also important minerals , nutrients and excess water which are reabsorbed from the filtrate by the stream of blood vessels. Also further the filtrate also passes through DCT (Distilled Convoluted Tubule)which absorbs more water according to the water level condition in our body.That is why the filtrate is 18 l and the urine excreted is 1-2l.
