The volume of ozone and chlorine is diffusing during the same time are 35ml and 29ml respectively.if molecular weight of chlorine is 71, calculate the molecular weight of ozone.

\frac{Rate 2}{Rate 1}= \frac{Square root of molar mass 1}{Square root of molar mass 2}

\frac{Volume 2}{Volume 1}= \frac{Square root of molar mass 1}{Square root of molar mass 2}

\frac{29 mL}{35 mL}= \frac{Square root of molar mass ozone}{Square root of 71}

On solving square root of molar mass of ozone = 0.829 x \sqrt{71}

                                                       = 6.99

Molar mass of ozone  = 48.86
