The volume of petrol in a tank is twice of that in the other. If we draw out 25 litres from the first and add it to the other, the volumes of the petrol in each tank will be the same.Find the volume of petrol in each tank.​

Answer:

let the volume of water in the second tank be x

and the volume of water in the first tank = 2x

ATQ

2x - 25 = x + 25

2x - x = 50

x = 50

now ,

volume of water in ist tank = 2x = 2(50) = 100 litres
