The volume of the box has equation x³-19x2+118x-408= 0 where x represents the height of the box in cm.
What are the dimensions of the box?

Solution :

l=18cm,b=10cm,h=6cm,t=1/2cm

Volume of wood=L*B*H-l*b*h

=18⋅10⋅6−17.5⋅9.5⋅5.5

=165.625cm3

Volume of sand=l⋅b⋅h=911.375

Weight of 1cm3 of wood=15/165.625=0.090kgcm3

=90gcm3

Weight of 1cm3 of wood=85914.325=0.093gcm3

=93gcm3.
