Solution :

Here, we have to find the length of the side of the cube. So, in order to get its value we will substitute the value of volume of cube in the following formula to get the required answer.

→ Volume of cube = a³

where,

• a denotes the side of the cube

Substituting the given values :-

→ 64 = a³

→ After taking cube root on both the sides, we get :-

→ √64 = a

→ √(4 × 4 × 4) = a

→ ± 4 = a

→ As we know, the side of cube cannot be negative. So, the negative sign will get rejected.

→ ± 4 Reject -ve = a

→ The value of a = 4

Therefore, the side of cube = 4 cm

Edge of cube = Cube root of 64

=4 cm

2) Volume of cube = (edge)³

Volume of cube = 64

edge = -³/64
