Volume of cube = a^3

Volume of square prism = x^2h

Required volume = a^3 - x^2h

where x is the side of square prism.

HEIR IS YOUR ANSWER:

VOLUME OF A CUBE: SIDE TIME SIDE TIME SIDE.SINCE EACH SIDE OF ASQUARE IS THE SAME,IT CAN SIMPLY BE THE LENGTH OF ONE CIDE CUBED.IF A SQUARE HAS ONE SIDE OF 4INCHES THE VOLUME WOULD BE 4INCHES TIMES 4INCHES TIME 4INCHES,OR 64CUBIC INCHES.

-VOL OF CUBE= a^3

-VOL OF SQUARE PRISM=x^2h

-REQUIRED VOL=a^3-x^2h

-WHEIR X IS SIDE OF SQUARE PRISM
