The volume of the right circular cone is 9856 cubic cm. If diameter of the base is 20 cm.Find height , slant height and curved surface area.

Slant height of the cone = 94.61 cm

Curved surface area of the cone = 2973.46 cm^{2}

  • Given,

           Diameter of the base = 20 cm

           Radius of the base = 20/2 = 10 cm

            Volume of the cone = 9856 cm^{3}

                       \frac{1}{3}\pi  r^{2}h=9856

                       \frac{1}{3}(\frac{22}{7})10^{2}h=9856

                       h=\frac{9856*21}{2200}

                      h = 94.08 cm

∴ Height of the cone = 94.08 cm

  • Slant height of the cone,

               l=\sqrt{h^{2}+r^{2}}

               l=\sqrt{94.08^{2}+10^{2}}

               l=\sqrt{8951.0464}

               l=94.61cm

∴ Slant height of the cone = 94.61 cm

  • Curved surface area of the cone is given by

               C=\pi rl

               C=\frac{22}{7}*10*94.61

               C = 2973.46 cm^{2}

∴ Curved surface area of cone is 2973.46 cm^{2}
