the volume of water in a tank is twice at in the other.if we draw out 25 litres from the first and add it to thge other, the volumes of the water in each tank will be the same. find the volumes of water in each tank.

let the volume of water in the second tank be x

and the volume of water in the first tank = 2x

ATQ

2x - 25 = x + 25

2x - x = 50

x = 50

now ,

volume of water in ist tank = 2x = 2(50) = 100 litres
