Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

the wages of 8 men and 6 boys amount to Rs 33.if 4 men earn Rs 4.50 more than 5 boys determine the wages of each men and boy

Let the wages of men be x and that of boys be y. So the equation will be

8x + 6y = 33 divide by 2 we get

4x + 3y = 33/2

4x + 3y = 16.5-------------1

Now 4 men earn Rs 4.5 more than 5 boys

4x – 5y = 4.5 --------------2

Solving both equations we get

4x + 3y = 16.5

4x – 5y = 4.5         Subtracting we get

  8y = 12

  So y = 12/8

  Or y = 1.5

4x + 3y = 16.5

4x + 3(1.5) = 16.5

4x = 16.5 – 4.5

4x = 12

So x = 12/4

Or x = 3

So wages of each men and boy are Rs 3 and 1.5
