The wall is to be built using brick of dimension 20 cm*16cm*8cm. How many bricks will be required if the wall is 10m long, 5cm high and 64 cm thick? Setp by step solution

length of brick = 20 cm

breadth = 16 cm

height = 8 cm

volume of a brick = 20*16*8 = 2560 cm^3

length of the wall = 10 m = 100 cm

breadth =  64 cm

height = 5 cm

volume of the wall = 100*64*5 = 32000 cm^3

Therefore number of bricks required = volume of the wall / volume of a brick

= 32000 / 2560

= 12.5
