  • In the kingdom of Maratha in 1674 Emperor Shivaji was also the outstanding ruling officer. The judiciary of the Marathas was not well organised and up to date, however. It was really basic, crude and primal. "Hazr Majlis" was the court of the king

It was the first to be defeated by Priviraj Chauhan in 1191, & the second to be defeated by Privithiraj Chauhan in 1192, when the Gori forces conquered and then assassinated Privithirai Chauhan.
  • Since crossing the river Indus, Alexander invaded India n 326 before Christ and went to Taxila. There was subsequently challenged King Porus, the kingdom monarch between Jhelum and Chenab. Although this Macedonian never saw elephants before during the heated battle, the Indians were killed. As other local rulers he had conquered, Alexander captured Porus and permitted him to continue to govern his region.
