The wastes of many factories contain acids. why is it considered necessary to neutralize them before allowing wastes to flow into water bodies ?​

water is a essential nutrient.Our most of the daily works are done with water.Also many living things have their source of living in/from water. But if you allow wastage of chemical into water it may cause threat to both yours and others life.

It's necessary to neutralize only because it reduces the amount of chemical effect that could harm the living beings.
