This is one of the greatest traits of camels which allows them to drink as much water as they can and Stör ot for seemingly longer periods than the other desert living animals. The camel has the ability to gulp up or take 200 litres of water or 53 gallons of water in a small unimaginable time of just 3 minutes!
The camel has blood cell which are Oval in shape (unlike humans who have biconcave shape and structure). Due to that, the red blood corpuscles expand upto a volumetric percentage of 240 to 260% in severe cases of dehydration which makes their blood so thick that they can consume whole of the 200 litres without even taking another breath.
