The water under a draw bridge was 15 feet deep at midnight. As the tide went out, the water depth decreased at a rate of 0.025 feet per minute. Write an equation that can be solved to find t, the time in minutes it took the water depth to reach 13 feet. How many minutes does it take to reach that 13 foot depth?

Answer:

0.025 feet in 1 min

0.1 feet in 4min

1feet in 40min

2 feet in 80 min

as it decreased to 13 feet from 15 feet, so it takes 80 min for it.
