Given :

The wave function of a pulse is given by :

y=\dfrac{5}{(4x+6t)^2}

To Find :

The velocity of pulse .

Solution :

The velocity is given by :

v=\dfrac{\text{coefficient of t}}{\text{coefficient of x}}\\\\v=\dfrac{6}{4}\ m/s\\\\v=1.5\ m/s

Therefore , the velocity of pulse is 1.5 m/s .
