Explanation

we know, E = hc / λ

So, E₁ = hc / λ₁ ......................... (i)

  & E₂ = hc / λ₂ ..........................(ii)

ON DIVIDING equation (i) by (ii)

∴ E₁ / E₂ = λ₂ / λ₁

             = 100 × 10⁻⁹ / 10 × 10⁻⁹             (since, 1 Â = 1 × 10 ⁻⁹ m)

             = 10 / 1

∴ E₁ : E₂ = 10 : 1
