Hence the correct option is 2, the wavelength of light in the medium is 400 nm.

Given,

the wavelength of light λ = 600 nm

refractive index of medium = 1.5

To Find,

the wavelength of light in medium B

Solution,

first, find the frequency = c/λ

where c is the speed of light and lambda is wavelength = 5×10¹⁴

now speed of light in medium =  speed of light / refractive index

= 2×10⁸

the wavelength of light in the medium

= speed of light in medium / frequency

=2×10⁸/5×10¹⁴

= 4×10⁻⁷ = 400nm

Hence the correct option is 2, the wavelength of light in a medium is 400nm
