Step-by-step explanation:

5:6 and 8:11 is rewritten as

5x, 6x, 8y, 11y

Salary of A:-

5x- 8y= 1050

= 5x- 8y- 1050= 0 → 1

Salary of B:-

6x- 11y= 1050

=6x- 11y- 1050= 0→ 2

Since they are in ratios, 'x' and 'y' of both the equations have to be the same. Hence, we need to find out their one unique solution.

In 1

x= 1050+8y/5

In 2

x= 1050+11y/6

Here, when y=150 for both the equations,

1→

x= 1050+ 1200/5

=x= 2250/5= 450

x=450

2→

x= 1050+1650/6

= x= 2700/6= 450

x= 450

Both are equal.

Hence, they're incomes are:-

Income of A= 5x

=5×450

=2250

Income of B= 6×

=6× 450

=2700

This took a lot of time Hope it helps.
