The weight (in kg)of 15 student of a class are 39,42,35,37,48,53,32,40,43,41,37,39,43,39,47,
(a) Find the range of the data?
(b) Find mean,mode and median?

A. Range = Highest weight - Lowest weight

= 53 - 32

= 21

B. Median ( arrange the number in ascending order )

And then find the number which is in centre.

median =

32,35,37,37,39,39,39,40,41,42,43,43,47,48,53

= 40 ( So 40 is the median because it is in the centre of the number.)

C. Mode: (The number which is observed maximum time)

Mode

= 39,42,35,37,48,53,32,40,43,41,37,39,43,39,47

= 39 ( 39 is observed maximum time)

Means: ( Sum of all observation ÷ Total number of observation)

Mean =

39+42+35+37+48+ 53+32+40+43+41+37+39+43+39+47/ 15

= 615 ÷ 15

= 41
