=38+34+32+30+40+41+43=258

= the weight of 7 student of class

so number of student are=7

=258÷7

=36.85

mean is 36.85

38+34+32+30+40+41+43=258

258÷2=129

the median in 129

Before, finding the answer. Let's find out how we can find the answer.

  • To find the Median, we must arrange all the numbers in ascending order and the number which is occurring in the middle is the Median.
  • And to find the Mean, we must add up all the numbers and divide it by how many numbers there are.

_______________

Given :

  • weights of 7 students = 38, 34, 32, 30, 40, 41, 43

To find :

  • median and mean

Solution :

Median = middle occurring

             = 38, 34, 32, 30, 40, 41, 43

Therefore, Median of the data is 30.

\sf  Mean = \dfrac{Total \: Values}{No \: of \: values}

         \sf  = \dfrac{38 + 34 + 32 + 30 + 40 + 41 + 43}{7}

         = 36.8

Therefore, the Mean of the data is 36.8.
