It will be at (B) W/2 at a depth halfway to the centre.

g' = g( 1-d/R )
Now d that is depth is R/2
substituting d
g' = g(1-R/2R )
g' = g/2
multiplying both sides by m
mg' = mg/2
weight is nothing but mass * gravity
Weight at halfway depth = W/2

rajatagrawal: w/2
