The weight of an object on the moon is 1/6th of the weight of an object on the earth.

Therefore, if the weight of an object is 6 kg on the moon, then it must be (6 × 6 kg) = 36 kg on the earth.

The gravitational force on moon is 1/6th of the gravitational force on earth

Let gravitational force on moon = g

Let gravitational force on earth = G

g=(1/6)G

6=(1/6)G

6 = \frac{1}{6} \times gravitational \: force \: on \: earth \\ 6 \times 6 = earths \: gravitational \: force

Thus weight on earth = 36 kg for weight of 6kg on moon

Hope this helps
