Given:-

  • \sf\blue{Weight\:of\:a\:boy = 294N}

  • \sf\pink{Acceleration = 9.8m/s^2}

To Find:-

  • \rm\red{Mass\:of\:the\:earth.}

Formulae Used:-

  • {\boxed{\sf{\blue{W  = mg}}}}

Now,

\implies\rm\blue{ w = mg}

\implies\rm\red{ 294 = m\times{9.8}}

\implies\rm\pink{ 294 = 9.8m}

\implies\rm\blue{ m = \dfrac{294}{9.8}}

\implies\rm\red{ m = 30kg}.

EXTRA INFORMATION

  • Acceleration due to Gravity (g) is 9.8m/s²

  • Force of gravitation is minimum in equator and maximum in poles

  • The Acceleration due to Gravity at the center of the earth is zero.

  • The Value of G is 6.67 × 10²³

→ The weight of a boy on the surface of earth is 294 Newton.

basically weight is the acceleration due to gravity felt by us due to being in the gravitational field of earth!

so , if weight is the acceleration due to gravity hence ,

→ w = mg ( m = mass , g = acceleration due to gravity)

→ 294 = mg

The value of g for earth is 9.8 m/s

→ 294 = m × 9.8

→ m = 294/9.8 = 30

→ Hence , mass of a boy is 30kg
