To find:

By what percentage is the weight of the calf less than that of the cow

Solution:  

Let the weight of calf be 100 Kg

Hence the weight of cow is 25% more, and so cow’s weight is 125 Kg.

So cow’s weight is 25 Kg less than calf’s weight.

In terms of percentage, calf’s weight is

\frac{100}{125} \times 100=80 \%

Hence it is 20% less.

Result:

The weight of the calf is 20% less than that of the  cow.
