the mass will be same = 1 kg
weight = M*g = 1*10 @= 10 N

  • Mass is amount of quantity of matter in a object or particle. Therefore it is a constant quantity for an object.

     so,

         mass of the object on surface of moon = mass of the object on surface                                                                                                 of earth

                1 kg = mass of the object on surface of earth

  • Weight is the force on the object exerted by gravity. That quantity is not a constant. Gravitational force varies with the gravitational constant(g)

        Weight = Gravitational Force

         W = F = mg

                     Weight of the object on surface of Earth = 1 kg * 10 m/s²

                    Weight of the object on surface of Earth = 10 N
