Answer:

Electro Chemistry

Explanation:

★ Given ;

Cu atoms in Cuso4 solution

Charge passes ( Q ) = 50 C

Weight ( W ) = ??

we know that ;

★ Weight / Equivalent mass = Charge / Farad

» Equivalent mass ( E ) of Cuso 4 = 2

» Charge = 50 C

» 1 Farad ( F ) = 96500 C

Now ;

W / E = Q / F

W / 2 = 50 / 96500

W = 100 / 96500

W = 1 / 965

W = 0.001 gm of Copper is deposited

Answer :- weight of copper deposited is 0.001 gm

At cathode,

Cu 2+2e- --->Cu2+

therefire no of electrons exchanged =2

hence nfactor is 2

 \frac{wt \times n \: factor}{mol.wt}  =  \frac{charge}{96500} \\ wt =  \frac{ 50 \times 63.5  }{96500 \times 2}  \\ wt = 0.016g
