Answer:

From the given data we can write

B=A−2

C=A+1.5

D=C+1.5=A+1.5+1.5=A+3

We have A+B+C+D=66.5

⇒A+A−2+A+1.5+A+3=66.5

⇒4A=64

⇒A=16

Therefore box A weighs 16kg, box B weighs 16−2=14kg, box C weighs 16+1.5=17.5kg and box D weighs 16+3=19kg

Hence A weighs 16kg

B weighs 14kg

C weighs 17.5kg

D weighs 19kg
